New York Avenue beach was abuzz Wednesday evening with the sounds of Irish music performed with a heavy dose of rock.

Finn's Fury played to an enthusiastic crowd as part of the City of Long Beach’s beach concert series. Among the highlights were the band’s explosive version of Jonny Cash’s “Ring of Fire” and the Celtic classic “The Kesh Jig.”

The Merrick-based Finn’s Fury characterizes its sound as "Urban Celtic Fusion Rock,” and the fervent Long Beach audience soaked up their music and danced the night away. More information about Finn's Fury can be found at the band's webiste and Facebook page. ~ JW/JK
