Long Beach Relay For Life Event Set for Saturday; Share Your Experiences
Beloved American Cancer Society fundraiser will kick of at The Promenade at the Recreation Center at 5 p.m.
This weekend, scores of cancer survivors and local volunteers will sport purple and white t-shirts and walk for hours around a track to raise money for cancer research in one of the most iconic fundraisers in the country.
The American Cancer Society will hold its local Relay for Life event at The Recreation Center in Long Beach on Saturday at 5 p.m. at the Promenade. Participants can pick up t-shirts starting at noon, and registration opens at 5 p.m. Click here for more details.
Thus far, 20 teams and 85 participants have raised $21,885.99 towards the Long Beach event. The top team is currently Team Long Beach High School, which has raised $4,649.
