I always wondered about these surfing schools. Not that they're a bad thing, but how is the City remunerated for the use of a public beach? How is the issue of liability covered?

Resident , both the Skudins and my surfing school both pay the city on LB a fee to use the beach, we must have full insurance, liability and workmen's comp, we bid on our beaches four years ago and we are going into the last year of our contract, we pay taxes and also pay the city a sanitation fee as well and both of our schools clean the beach and try to maintain a safe area for new students, my school surf2live must share a beach with surfers and the skudins have a beach to themselves until 1 pm, we both are respectful to our city and encourage surfers of all ages the chance to learn to surf.
I have been providing this service for over 20 years and love teaching, we both are certified by NSSIA and i am a certified professional surfing coach as well .
