A friendly reminder from the City of Long Beach to commuters: Yearly parking permits for the Long Island Railroad parking garage in Long Beach are due to expire June 30th. New 2012-13 parking permits will be available for purchase Monday, June 11, 2012.
Applications for parking permits are available in the City Clerk’s office on the third floor at City Hall or can be downloaded at www.longbeachny.org/cityclerk.
Permits cost $250 for Long Beach residents and $300 for non-residents and are valid from July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013.
In Person: Cash and credit cards will be accepted in person only at the City Clerk’s office between the hours of 9AM and 5PM Monday through Friday (9AM to 4PM after July 1st.)
Bring a copy of your car registration, along with cash, credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or check. For those paying by check, applications will be held, with permits mailed after seven business days. Checks should be made payable to City of Long Beach.
To accommodate commuters, special hours have been set up to purchase permits in the City Clerk’s office:

BY MAIL: To obtain a permit by mail, send an application along with your check, copies of your car registration and driver's license and a self-addressed stamped envelope to the City of Long Beach, Attention: City Clerk - LIRR, 1 W. Chester St., Long Beach, NY 11561.
Remember: All City of Long Beach LIRR parking garage permits will expire June 30th. Be sure to pick up your new permit now!
