My cousin Gary, age 60, lives in the Komonoff Center; he has cerebral palsey. He can not move any part of his body except his head. He can not speak. He communicates by tapping his head to a button, when he sees the letter he wants to type (on the computer screen). Gary has written brilliant essays & is a concerned citizen. I feel that it's af if he is in jail - the jail of a body that doesn't move.
The staff at Komonoff is always busy & they can not attend to the people who live there as much as necessary. Gary gets very few visitors. In an attempt to make my cousin happy, I had gotten him some music CDs that he loves. To my shock, Gary told me that all his favorite CDs are now missing! Maybe someone took them thinking that they woun't be missed. I implore the person who took the CDs to please return them.
