Does anyone know what the situation is with the LIRR and the Long Beach Train Station? Last I heard it was still completely closed, I'm stuck in Manhattan and need to get back ASAP........Anyone?
Long Beach Branch service remains suspended. LIRR has resumed its modified schedule on all other branches. Customers should expect weather-related delays and cancellations due to the ongoing coastal storm.
The LIRR will provide bus service between Island Park and Lynbrook from 6AM until 11PM starting Wednesday, Nov. 7. The buses will make a loop between the Island Park and Lynbrook stations, stopping at Oceanside, E. Rockaway, and Centre Ave. Expected travel time between Island Park and Lynbrook is 30 minutes. During Peak travel, buses will run every 5-10 minutes. There will be longer intervals between off-peak departure times. Connections to train service can be made at Lynbrook.
Off-peak fares are in effect for LIRR trains, and Long Beach Branch tickets will be accepted on other branches.

From there as noted a shuttle bus from Lynbrook to Island park and then i would walk to Long beach.
