12 St. Paddy’s Parades to See on Long Island

March your emerald shoes down these main streets for St. Patrick's Day 2014.

Long Island is donning emerald green this week as residents across the area gear up for St. Patrick’s Day.

While New York City gets all the attention, communities from Rockville Centre to Rocky Point, Moriches to Montauk have impressive lineups set for their parades in the coming weeks.

Here are 12 St. Patrick's Day parades to check out on Long Island:

1. St. James St. Patrick’s Day Parade

When: March 15, 1 p.m.
Route: Starts at Lake Avenue and Woodlawn, runs along Lake Avenue to Railroad Avenue.

2. Westhampton Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade
When: March 15, 12 p.m.
Route: Starts on Mill Road and Oneck Lane, runs down Mill Road to Main Street.

3. Cutchogue St. Patrick’s Day Parade
When: March 15, 2 p.m.
Route: Starts at traffic light at Cox Lane, runs down Route 25, ends in Cutchogue Village.

4. Center Moriches St. Patrick’s Day Parade
When: March 16, 2 p.m.
Route: Runs along Main Street

5. Bayport St. Patrick’s Day Parade
When: March 16, 11 a.m.
Route: Parade runs on Montauk Highway between Snedecor Avenue and Blue Point Avenue.

6. Rocky Point St. Patrick’s Day Parade
When: March 16, 1 p.m.
Route: Begins at Route 25A and Harrison Avenue, runs east on Route 25A, ends at Broadway and Prince Road.

7. Hampton Bays St. Patrick’s Day Parade
When: March 22, 11 a.m.
Route: Parade marches north on Ponquogue Avenue to Montauk Highway, ends near Hampton Bays Diner.

8. Rockville Centre St. Patrick’s Day Parade
When: March 22, 12 p.m.
Route: Starts at Sunrise and North Forest Avenue, north on North Forest Avenue, west on Maple Avenue, north on Lee Avenue, west on Grand Avenue, south on North Park Avenue, west on College Place, west on Quealy Place, south on North Village Avenue, west on Washington Street, end at Municipal Parking Field 2.

9. Brentwood St. Patrick’s Day Parade

When: March 22, 1 p.m.
Route: Starts at Washington Avenue and Clarke Street, ends on Brentwood Road.

10. 52nd Annual Montauk St. Patrick’s Day Parade

When: March 23, 11:30 a.m.
Route: Runs on Edgemere Road, turns onto Main Street, ends at IGA on Main Street.

11. Glen Cove 25th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade
When: March 23, 1 p.m.
Route: Parade forms behind the Finley Middle School, moves into Forest Avenue south of Dosoris Lane, follows Brewster Street to School Street, then follows Glen Street to the end of Parade Route at St. Patrick’s Church.

12. Patchogue St. Patrick’s Day Parade
When: March 30, 12:30 p.m.
Route: Parade kicks off with the May the Road Rise to Meet Ye 5K at East Main Street and Rose Avenue, west on Main Street, ending at West Avenue and West Main Street.
