#73 - Marvel Serves Ice Cream with a Twist
The Long Beach island mainstay has put smiles on the faces of frozen treat-lovers for more than 50 years.

Selling soft, creamy and oh-so delicious vanilla, chocolate and strawberry treats, Marvel Ice Cream & Yogurt marks #73 on Patch's 100 Things To Do in Long Beach series.
Yes, we know, Marvel is located in Lido Beach (at 258 Lido Boulevard, to be exact), but its decadent delights have made it a Long Beach island-wide staple for more than 50 years.

Marvel serves soft serve ice cream, frozen yogurt, and egg creams delicious enough to capture rave reviews from both local ice cream coinsures and The New York Times.
"Hands down this ice cream stand serves the best soft serve ice cream that I have ever tasted,” said Long Beach resident Anthony Marinno.

Marvel serves a variety of different soft serve ice cream flavors, including pistachio, coffee, banana and peanut butter, but it's flavor combinations are what draw people back for more. Customers can swap out their traditional vanilla and chocolate twist for a strawberry and pistachio, chocolate and peanut butter, or blueberry and banana. As long as you can eat it, Marvel can twist it.
As a family-owned business, Marvel takes pride in its satisfied customers. Their front and side windows are filled with photos of smiling faces enjoying their sweet frozen treats, and, no matter what the weather, there's always a line of eager patrons waiting for a taste.
