City: Snow Emergency Ends Saturday at Noon

The City of Long Beach posted the following update on snow removal:

The City's snow emergency will remain in effect until Saturday at 12 noon. Public works crews will continue to clear the streets through the evening and morning hours. Though crews are still out salting and sanding, given the extremely cold temperatures, please be cautious of black ice. We are encouraging residents to check on their neighbors, try not to block sidewalks and driveways while shoveling, and to take care not to clog storm sewers. As always, in the event of an emergency, please call 911. If you lose power, you should contact the PSEG emergency line at 1-800-490-0075.
