Jan. 11: Halftime Howie Hosts Many Guests, Hoops Teams Face Mepham

Here's what's happening Tuesday in Long Beach.

It’s Tuesday and Long Beach is abuzz with activities, from the political to the educational to the athletic, and a near blizzard is expected, too! Here's a taste of some events on the city's plate today:

1. Long Beach radio personality Halftime Howie will interview a slew of guests on his show, including a LBFD firefighter, high school musicians and Don Thomas from the Drifters. The show airs from 8 to 9 p.m. on AM 1240 WGBB.

2. Learn more about the Long Beach Tea Party and their political activism at one if their twice-monthly meetings at the Long Beach Library at 7 p.m.

3. The Long Beach Board of Education will hold a regular meeting at the Middle School starting a 7:30 p.m.

4. Hoops fans, listen up! The Long Beach High School girls' basketball team will host Mepham at 4:30 p.m., while the boys' team travels to Mepham and will tip off at 6:15 p.m.
