Jan. 24: Movie Time, Colorful Interiors, Cheap Gas

Here's what's happening in Long Beach on Monday.

It’s undoubtedly a disappointing day in Jets Nation after Rex & Co. fell to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Championship game last night. But life must go on, even here in Long Beach, so here’s what you need to know to help get you through this frigid Monday:

1. Movie lovers, get your popcorn ready! The Long Beach Library at 2 p.m. will show Flipped, a coming-of-age romantic comedy directed by Rob Reiner. Rated PG.

2. Looking to spruce up and energize your home? Later today on Patch, check out Melissa O’Connor’s Do It Yourself Design column on mixing colors harmoniously while decorating inside.

3. Gas prices are spiking again, so you’re particularly looking for those cheap pumps, right? In just a few hours Patch will let you know which local stations have the lowest-priced grades.

4. Another winter storm is coming our way by mid-week. In the mean time, bundle up, because daytime temps are expected to struggle just to hit the high teens.
