Mangano, St. Francis Hospital Bring Thanksgiving to Long Beach

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano will join Alan. D. Guerci, M.D., President and CEO of St. Francis Hospital, The Heart Center® and volunteers at Long Beach Regional Catholic School on Saturday, November 17, 2012 to provide an early Thanksgiving dinner to more than 2,500 Long Beach residents and first responders. The City of Long Beach was one of Nassau County’s hardest hit communities by Hurricane Sandy, with many residents suffering severe damage to their homes.

In addition to St. Francis providing a full Thanksgiving meal, members of the hospital’s nursing staff will be on hand to administer free flu shots and blood pressure screenings.

St. Francis canceled its annual gala, scheduled for Saturday night, as a result of the storm and redirected its catering plans to provide pre-holiday dinners for residents affected by Sandy.
