Get the scoop on what's happening in Long Beach each weekday.

You’re full of energy and eager to being a new week, right? If so, then start by checking out what’s happening in Long Beach on this otherwise damp Monday:

1.
Seniors can start the day by getting on line. An hour-long class called Line Dancing with Lori gets going at 9 a.m. at the Magnolia Senior Center on Magnolia Boulevard. Some line-dancing experience is suggested before joining this weekly workout.

2. Booklovers, listen up! There will be a discussion on The Golden Notebook by Doris Lessing at 2:30 p.m. at the Long Beach Library. This novel chronicles lessons about the feminism movement through the main character who explores her place in the world.

3. Adult education classes give local residents a chance to take an affordable class on a subject they are interested in learning about. Long Beach School District will hold registration for adult education classes at Long Beach Middle School on Mar. 7 and 8 and 9 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
