Get the scoop on what's happening in Long Beach each weekday.

It’s Tuesday and Long Beach has got everything from baseball to business networking to entertaining radio:

1. Boxing fans can watch Long Beach’s own Seanie Monaghan in a light heavyweight fight at B.B. Kings Blues Club in Manhattan. Monaghan takes on Michael Glenn starting at 7:30 p.m.

2. While you’re waiting for the Yankees and Mets to throw their first pitches later this week, the Long Beach High School baseball team takes to the diamond in Wantagh at 4:30 p.m.

3. Business networkers should know that the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce will host their monthly meeting at Mulberry Street restaurant on East Park Avenue starting at 7 p.m.

4. The Long Island Youth Safety Coalition will host a conference for local educators, organizations and others to learn more about Internet safety and bullying prevention from 8:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. at Hofstra in Hempstead.

5. Tune into AM 1240 WGBB at 8 p.m. to listen to Long Beach radio personality Halftime Howie on his show “Broadcasting on the Beach.” As he does each Tuesday, Howie talks with various guests about local issues and events. Tonight he’ll interview locals preparing a Green Festival in May, Keagan Travers from State Champion Long Beach High School hockey team and stand up comedians from LBHS.
