Clean Up the Community
Now in its 6th year, the Barefoot Beach Wine Rescue Project is coming to Long Beach on July 21st at 4 p.m. For two hours, volunteers will clean up the sand to make it "barefoot friendly" for all. After the project, volunteers who are 21 and over can head to the Beach House for an after party with Barefoot wine and delicious eats.
100 Pints of Beer on the Wall
Have your name forever put into the marble notebook at the Speakeasy. According to the establishment's website, "The Speakeasy 100 pint club is a prestigious group of dedicated and refined Guinness drinkers." Names have tally marks next to them, and some members have tried all of them. Selections include Benoir, K.J. Barry, Regan and 97 more.
A Helping of History
Operating since 1912 and dubbed the oldest bar on the beach, Shine's has a lineup of events each week to keep you coming back for more. Mondays play host to "Old Skool Nintendo”; Wednesdays are free pool night and Thursdays are reserved for trivia. After a long workweek, head down to Shine's for Friday happy hour.
"Darling, It's Better"
Join crowds at The Inn for "Under the Sea" Thursdays to feast the evening away. Enjoy a raw bar, steamers and mussels to please the palate. You can also indulge in some of the drink specials: $3.50 Miller Lites and $4 Stoli flavors from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
