It's Irish Day!
The Ancient Order of Hibernian's Irish Day Parade and Festival
returns on Saturday. After spending the morning and early afternoon hours
watching the parade head into the West End pubs where you'll find
food and drinks aplenty. As you make your way down West Beech Street from
bar to bar, you'll spot plenty of vendors selling many Irish goods. This 23rd
annual parade starts at 11 a.m. at Washington Boulevard and heads down
West Beach Street, ending at Nevada Avenue.
A Fall Night Away
A crisp autumn chill is
in the air, but that doesn't mean you can't still enjoy a lovely
stroll on the beach while staying at a luxury hotel. Give yourself a break and
enjoy the
Allegria Hotel's "Fall Fun"
special, in which double occupancy rooms cost $199 for a weeknight.
Sports in a Different Style
Who doesn't like chowing down
on wings while watching their favorite football teams on Sundays? Wings will
always be a sports time staple, but once sometimes you may crave something
a bit different. With 22 LCD screens, the
Beach
House is
the place to catch the Jets, Giants and other NFL teams. Indulge in items from
the raw bar such as fresh-shucked oysters, chilled lobster cocktail or tuna.
