No Meredith, I was pointing out the hypocrisy of your response to Ken's initial comment. You took your own preconceived notions of people's surnames and made a supposition that he was talking about Mr Zimmerman being jewish while attempting to criticize him for doing, in your opinion, the same thing.
Misty December 28, 2012 at 06:09 PM
Who cares what Jesse Zimmerman's religion is? He's a little thug who will, no doubt, wind up with a rap sheet as long as his arms before he's 25. And, no, he was not bullied in school. He was the bully, pot head who thought his crap didn't stink.
Henry N. December 28, 2012 at 09:29 PM
To "Ken Toller", hiding behind this name. Not only you are antisemite, you are also an illiterate one. There is no word "ancestory" in English. It is "ancestry". Go back to school, maybe you will learn something besides hatred.
Goingplaces December 29, 2012 at 12:29 AM
...and you are as nice as they come. See how you treat others, not how others treat others. It begins with you.
Henry N. December 29, 2012 at 12:34 PM
To Pat Mulligan from Henry N. First of all, it is a matter of choice whether you give or don't give your last name. What difference does it make? What matters here is an opinion, isn't it? And yes, I am "in a mood correcting others", including you, as you obviously could learn that the spelling of the word "antisemite' is as acceptable in English as "anti-semite" So, you too can hold hands with "Ken" and register for the same school. Guess, why?
Nancy McWilliams Petrosino December 29, 2012 at 06:39 PM
First of all let me start with this...I am Jesse R. Zimmerman's Mother, and I really dont appreciate what's been put into the Long Beach Patch But this case will have it's day in court! #1...His last name "Zimmerman" is German! # 2...This is for MISTY....Don't bad mouth my son. He was never a bully and if anything got in trouble for sticking up for the kid's who were bullied!! I would know I taught him that and was very involved with what went on with him at school! He is not a thug...and let me ask you this..Why do u sound so bitter and resentful with my son? Did he not pay attention to you? Because it sounds like you were paying ALOT of attention to him!! Jesse is a good kid, he works 2 jobs and is preparing to go to college. This incident was NOT a ROBBERY! He never stole anything from the kid. NONE of you know the facts so stop passing judgement!!!!!!!!!!! THE TRUTH WILL COME OUT!! GOD BLESS all of you...may it never hit your family!
Nancy McWilliams Petrosino December 29, 2012 at 06:42 PM
He was blamed for stealing the kid's calculator..My son owns 2 calculators and has an Iphone with a calculator..he doesnt need his. And it was never on his property or in his possesion!
paul.d.spellman December 29, 2012 at 07:01 PM
Ms Petrosino, You stated "This incident was NOT a ROBBERY! " are you saying the patch posted erroneous information or did the LBPD release the incorrect information? Or was Mr Zimmerman in fact arrested and charged with robbery as reported?
Misty December 29, 2012 at 07:54 PM
Sorry, Nancy. You are correct. I definitely overreacted when I saw that your son was nabbed. Hope it all goes away when he goes to court.
Deidre Carroll December 29, 2012 at 08:59 PM
Nancy, Nancy, Nancy...you are panicking, which is natural when one's son is arrested. First of all, the patch posted that your son was arrested, which based on the C felony pending in ecourts, is true. You may not appreciate it, but it is a crime, and it was appropriately placed in the crime blotter. Second, this may come as a shock to you, and I am not saying your son is guilty, but people often steal things they don't need, or that they already have. They do this to get money, or to torment someone, so the fact that your son has calculators does not mean he did not steal one. You are defending your son, which is what a mother does. However, you may want to consider that if he is one of those rare teenagers these days that enjoys drinking and/or taking drugs (yes, "rare" is sarcasm), that he may have done this. Take a short break from crying out the "not my son" defense on a silly blog, and make sure you shouldn't be taking another tact. Judges love when you show up in court after going to rehab to try and make yourself better before your court date.

The bigger issue here is how do we stop this kid from stealing from everybody? We are a community already on the edge and cannot afford to have a thief among us!
Tonto Hertzberg December 30, 2012 at 01:10 PM
Hey, Hitlers mom thought he was a great kid too.
Hamburger December 30, 2012 at 01:16 PM
you can take our homes, but don't ever (EVER) try to take our calculators
Nancy McWilliams Petrosino January 01, 2013 at 04:14 PM
Thank you all I appreciate the comments..But, I am not a mother who cries "not my son"! I am well aware of a problem with my son's drinking and he has a desire to go get the help he needs..but he is NOT a theif. So as far as Weildman, Snieder and Mongo..please keep your nastiness and judgemwnt to yourself. You have my son guilty before innocent and in this country it's innocent till PROVEN guilty..as far as what we dont need in this town (which by the way is where I was born and raised as well as my child) is narrow minded judgemental people. What we do need is Good caring citizens who want to do whatever it takes to help our children go down the right roads in life because they are soo easily lost out there! You don't know what someone else is battling in there life so don't judge them. It may be your family next so be careful Karma's a bitch!!! Thank you Misty for your apology, i appreciated that. Yes Jesse will have his day in court...but from what i hear this kid is too afraid to tell the truth now after he lied..because he was not doing the right thing when he claims to have been robbed! I happen to know my son had no calculator on his person or in his possessions, in his room. They have NO EVIDENCE of robbery or assault...I def dont think my son is any type of angel but he is generally a good kid with a huge heart who is always reaching out to help other's...
Nancy McWilliams Petrosino January 01, 2013 at 04:16 PM
ALWAYS got in trouble for sticking up for the kid who was being Bullied!
Nancy McWilliams Petrosino January 01, 2013 at 04:17 PM
As for MONGO...Get a grip u jerk! What a stupid thing to say
Nancy McWilliams Petrosino January 01, 2013 at 04:23 PM
I help children with the diseaase of addiction with themselves and in there famililies..IGNORANCE is way too common! U people talk just because u have lips!
Hamburger January 01, 2013 at 05:12 PM
we have enough issues with academic performance - our children need all the calculators they can get. We must stamp out this calculator theft ring at once.
Deidre Carroll January 01, 2013 at 06:09 PM
Oh boy...18 y/o with a drinking problem, his mother with multiple last names, none of which match her son "helps" other children with their addiction, and the people on the board are the ignorant ones. Were you out helping those other children while your son buried himself in the bottle or did that happen when you were out finding true love...again... because you "have a life too you know"....
Deidre Carroll January 01, 2013 at 10:06 PM
Nancy, I know many an excellent mother, I am a fairly decent one myself, my husband is an excellent father. We've never had the occasion to read any of our children's names in the police blotter, bail them out of jail, nor have we had to guide them through rehab. Yes, I'll give you that alcoholism is a disease, also hereditary if I am not mistaken, but it is a disease that ordinarily hasn't presented itself in someone not even old enough to drink. Maybe you are a good mother, I don't know, but it seems to be if an 18 y/o is an alcoholic, someone wasn't watching very closely.
paul.d.spellman January 02, 2013 at 07:40 AM
Nancy, Are you saying his arrest was related or caused by his dependencies, that would explain alot.
Deidre Carroll January 02, 2013 at 11:47 AM
I am fully aware of the real world, you seem to be under the impression that only "diseased" addicts live in the real world or know what struggle is. I think I am beginning to see where that addict gene came from in your son. You want advice? I gave you advice in my first post, when I knew nothing of your sons alcoholism. Go the rehab route, the courts love that. I have experienced first hand how the justice system allows those with no regard for themselves or the public at large to repeatedly terrorize society while they do their very best to recover from their "disease". They are given chance after chance, leaving the victims of their wrath to restore what has been destroyed, and their future victims to forever mourn what has been lost. That is where my empathy lies. You want empathy? Get it at a meeting dear, not on a police blotter blog.
Nancy McWilliams Petrosino January 02, 2013 at 02:24 PM
I dont want empathy..but I dont think you have the right to criticize my parenting skills! U don't know me or my son...or even the truth of what really happened,,
Hamburger January 02, 2013 at 03:39 PM
Might be a good time to stop posting on this thread. Just sayin......
Deidre Carroll January 02, 2013 at 05:00 PM
Mongo, you think she may be hurting her son's case a wee bit?
Tonto Hertzberg January 03, 2013 at 12:35 AM
Nancy: Let me give you a tip. Shut up. If you did not keep this issue going via your constant posts the issue would fade away quickly. Granted, the kid may still remain a scumbag but at least it wont be a subject for strangers like me to post about.

Gee, looks like a few incriminating posts are gone. I will miss Nancy...and I hope we don't have to read about her son in future police blotters. For our sake as well as theirs.
jaye denker January 04, 2013 at 08:13 PM
My goodness you people obviously do not believe in the innocent until proven guilty basis of our legal system.....although that is pretty much a joke with people like you in our society that demand someone is a criminal based on what the media reports..what a joke! It sounds as though most of you are bored, cynical people that have decided that print is fact...like Obama is not a citizen!!!! What ignorence!!!
jaye denker January 04, 2013 at 08:55 PM
By the way... Ms Petrosino...I know your son and regardless of what my feelings are... why let these ignorant people upset you...when they publish the perfect parenting guide, I will be the first in line to buy that book. Until then, people have nothing better to do then criticize you as it makes them feel better about what ignorant, judgemental people they are. Myself, I won't acknowledge anyone but God himself telling me that I have failed as a parent and frankly I have been very successful. My children are loving, giving, and emphatetic people who give back to society not judge people, when they know nothing of what they are talking about. Look what they did to those poor parents in Point Lookout! Pathetic!!!!!!!
