School District Seeks Budget Advisory Committee Members

Long Beach Public Schools seeks school district residents to serve on the district’s 2013-14 Budget Advisory Committee.

The Budget Advisory Committee offers members an opportunity to provide input into the development of the 2013-14 operating budget for Long Beach Public Schools.

If you are interested in participating in this committee, please contact the office of the District Clerk at 516- 897-2108.

Lilly Newman, a member of the advisory committee that typically consists of volunteers and school officials who study the new budget, proposed a reassessment of benefits, such as workers compensation and medical and dental, as well as several other areas the committee believes the school district has over compensated their employees.
