Locals to be Inducted into the “Blues Hall of Fame” On Sunday, June 10th from 2:00-6:00 The Hub Billiards Club of Island Park will be playing host to the “Blues Hall of Fame” induction and celebration concert and Fundraiser as they induct Long Island’s Finest Blues performers and supporters of the genre. Local Blues musicians, Howie Haber and Lou Carrollo (Breakaway), and Johanna Mathieson-Ellmer, founder and producer of the Barrier Beach Blues and Arts Festival, will be honored at this special event and concert. Sharing the bill and the honors will be: Pamela Betti, Sweet Suzi, Don Celenza, Richard Balter, Chaz Depalo, Killer Joe Ferrara, Tommy Keys, Jerry Schaefer and Michael Packer.
The $20.cover charge includes food, pool, and music with part of the proceeds going to support the Blues Hall of Fame and the Barrier Beach Blues Festivals. There will also be raffles and 50/50 to help support these great programs.
The Blues Hall of Fame ® is an international organization consisting of performing Blues Artists and Friends, and is dedicated to the "Unsung Hero's" who work tirelessly by performing or promoting Blues Music at Local Blues Clubs and Festivals in all corners of the World.
