'Rocky' Actor to Help Open Long Beach Film Festival
Joins Ed Mangano to kick off "Shorts on the Beach" event.

Beloved Port Washington resident Gerald Tommaso DeLouise of “Rocky” fame will join Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano at a press conference in Long Beach on Thursday about a movie-related event in the city.

Better known by his stage name Burt Young, best known for his Academy-Award nominated role as Sylvester Stallone’s brother-in-law and best friend Paulie in the Rocky film series, DeLouise will help open the second annual International Film Festival "Shorts on the Beach” at the Allegria Hotel, at 80 W. Broadway, at 10:30 a.m.

DeLouise most recently helped to kick off the Cinema by the Bay film series earlier this year at Sunset Park in Port Washington.
Co-founded by Ingrid Dodd and Craig Weintraub, the Long Beach International Film Festival will be held at National Beach starting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
