The new Pre-Kindergarten Center at the Lido Complex will be ready to receive the district’s youngest new students. The new Lido Elementary playground will also be completed for the start of school, as will the Lido Elementary library and gymnasium. At Long Beach High School, the renovation of the main entrance lobby and stairway, including a new security desk, will be complete. Eight new science classrooms will also be ready for use. The floor and ceiling of the new commons area will be complete, with the attendance office up and running.

The high school’s new main office, guidance office and nurse’s office will be completed during the school year. The traffic flow to the high school will be reconfigured this year. Buses will enter on Lagoon Drive as usual, but all other traffic will now enter on Blackheath Road.
