Bi-Wise pharmacy closed its doors in August 2012 when owner, Mitchell Matza, went to work for Rite Aid Pharmacy at Long Beach Plaza shopping center. Matza told Patch that the credit union expects to start reconstructing the 3,900-square-foot unit this month.

“I think they’ll be a good fit for Long Beach,” Matza said. “They do a lot of great things for the community.”
