Five Vacancies in Long Beach

Ten months after Hurricane Sandy, several empty storefronts and commercial buildings remain in Long Beach, adding to those that existed before the storm. Here are just five vacancies in different parts of the city:

  • 889 W. Beech St. - The West End European-style women’s boutique Danielle M remains vacant after Hurricane Sandy destroyed the store.

  • 629 E. Park Ave. - After 45 years in business, Guy & Co., a women’s hairstyle studio, will close on Sept. 14, but the East End storefront will soon be home to Precision Pharmacy, according to signs posted on the unit’s window.

  • 48 E. Park Ave. - Josef Rose, a women’s handbag boutique, was devastated by Sandy. The storefront sits vacant.

  • 42 E. Park Ave. - Nick’s Tuscan Grill is out of business and Realtor Douglas Elliman looks to fill the empty unit.

  • 369 E. Park Ave. - A former CPA office, Hertz & Rosenzweig, which was slated to become a cycling health studio, along with neighboring unit, a former beauty salon, will be transformed into a paint store, workers at the vacancies told Patch.
