Five Vacancies in Long Beach

Nine months after Hurricane Sandy, several storefronts and commercial buildings remain empty in Long Beach, adding to those that existed before the storm. Here are just five vacancies in different parts of the city:

  • 129 E. Park - Sun Kissed Tanning Salon got knocked out of business after Hurricane Sandy, a neighboring business owner told Patch. Realtors are looking to fill the 1,800-square-foot unit.
  • 1052 W. Beech St. - The former site of Adnan’s Custom Tailoring remains vacant after Sandy. Meanwhile, owner Adnan Etike relocated his business to 933 W. Beech.
  • 901 W. Beech St. - Crossfit King of The Beach and Thrive, a crossfit gym/chiropractor office, continued their operations in Island Park after their West End storefront was damaged in Sandy. Douglas Elliman Realty in Long Beach seeks a new tenant.
  • 768 W. Beech St. - Popztarz, an ice cream and gelato store, had closed before the October storm. The West End’s easternmost storefront remains vacant.
  • 880 W. Beech St. - Coldwell Banker was unable to return to its West End building after the storm. While Beach Cabinets moved into half of the unit earlier this year, the other half still needs a tenant.
