Long Beach has a new options for frozen yogurt and how it is served.

Eric and Patty Berkowitz, Long Beach residents for over 25 years, opened Tutti Frutti West Park Avenue in April. The couple are excited to be the first to bring the chain of self-serve frozen yogurt to New York.

When looking for the right business, they heard about Tutti Frutti, a chain based mostly in California, and decided that the company’s self-serve, endlessly customizable format was just right for Long Beach.

Customers go to individual stations to fill their cups with as much frozen yogurt as they wish, including mixing more than one flavor, and then move on to the toppings, making personal frozen yogurt creations. Each cup is then priced by the ounce after being weighed at the register. Always welcome are customer suggestions and a request board is coming.

Décor: The message inside Tutti Frutti is bright and clean, with gleaming tables, counters, and walls in bold tropical hues. The sun shines through a large front window and catches the colors, creating a festive atmosphere before you even have a chance to sample any frozen yogurt. The cleanliness is also readily apparent, as all surfaces are sparkling clean and even the toppings section, a place that can easily become messy, is neat and orderly.
