Long Island venues are offering parties, packages and premiums galore.

Still looking for a place to celebrate New Year's Eve? Allow us to narrow down your search. Patch has compiled a dozen local options, including everything from dinner to breakfast the next morning. If you're seeking romantic meals, family affairs, drink specials or all-night dancing, the list below is a good place to start.

Garden City Hotel: This upscale hotel is offering a few different options to usher in 2011 in style. The New Year's Eve Gala, held in the Grand Ballroom, 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., will feature a cocktail hour with a premium open bar, a multi-course dinner prepared by Master Chef Steven De Bruyn, live orchestra and entertainment by Hank Lane Music & Productions and a televised New Year's countdown. Price: $195 per person.

A New Year's Eve Overnight Extravaganza package is also available for $695 per couple (plus tax) and includes an evening of dinner and dancing for two, overnight accommodations, champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries and a New Year's Day breakfast buffet.

For something more low-key, check out the a-la-carte New Year's Eve dinner menu at Rein, the hotel's signature restaurant. Reservations begin at 6 p.m.

Long Island Children's Museum: This family-friendly venue will host its annual "Countdown to 12!" The Times Square-style New Year's celebration takes place in the afternoon from noon to 4:30 p.m. Among the event's activities will be time for kids and parents to design top hats and necklaces, create resolution magnets to remind them of their resolutions all year long and make their own noisemakers. The National Circus Project will hold three performances at 1 p.m., 1:45 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., and will help the crowd prepare for the big ball drop at 4 p.m. All activities are free with the purchase of museum admission, which costs $10 for adults and children (free for kids under one) and $9 for seniors.

Viva Loco: Pair a margarita with anything from fettuccine to fajitas at this vibrant Italian/Mexican hotspot, which will be open for New Year's Eve dinner until 2 a.m. Want to make a night of it? The Carltun East Meadow: This elegant venue is preparing for its New Year's Eve 2010 Extravaganza Grand Ballroom Gala, 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. For $125 per person (plus tax and tip) guests will enjoy a cocktail hour, three-course dinner party and an open bar with top-shelf liquor.

Plus, the restaurant's New Year's Day bar brunch special (available at the bar only), will be $5 steak and eggs with a Bloody Mary or mimosa, available from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
