Public Relations Executive Receives Honor As Outstanding Mentor
Melville, NY May 1, 2014 – Lido Beach resident, Hilary JM Topper, President & CEO of HJMT Public Relations Inc. - the Public Relations and Social Media agency - was recently honored by the Public Relations Professionals of Long Island (PRPLI) with the Outstanding Mentor Award.
“I’ve always wanted to give back to my profession and teaching younger generations is my favorite way to do so,” said Topper. “I feel that I can provide them with insights from my own experiences that will help them achieve their own professional goals. Nothing makes me happier than seeing former mentees advance in their careers and knowing that I have helped contribute to their success. ”
Topper received her award during the PRPLI 24th Annual Awards Dinner on April 29, 2014 at the Chateau Caterers in Carle Place. Proceeds from the event will benefit PRPLI scholarships. PRPLI is one of the leading organizations for Public Relations professions. With over 200 members, it is the largest non-profit group in the NY metro area for professional communicators.

Topper was nominated by her peers for the Outstanding Mentor Award, based on her dedication to the Public Relations industry. Topper has positively influenced hundreds of Public Relations professions. Through her work with Hofstra University as an Adjunct Professor in the new Masters in Public Relations program, Topper teaches students how to excel using the latest technology and Public Relations strategies and tactics. In addition, as a mentor at Baruch College, Topper provides insightful business and entrepreneurial advice to future generations of PR leaders.
