What's on tap in Long Beach? We'll will let you know what's going on in the city and on Patch, from beach concerts to fundraisers to past stories you may have missed. Here's what's going on Wednesday and Thursday:

1. Get ready for some Irish folk music with a rock twist as Finn's Fury takes to the concert stage at New York Avenue beach starting at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

2. Peaceful Minds, a local organization and wellness center for veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, will hold a 5 Mile March on the Long Beach boardwalk on Aug. 28. You can register for this event at the Farmer's Market at Kennedy Plaza starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

3. A four-day tournament of international Beach Tennis is coming to Long Beafh starting Thursday. Read Patch's preview to the event.

4. Coming up on Patch: We'll post a quick video of the construction at the beach as workers prepare for the upcoming Quiksilver Pro New York surfing competition and festival in September.
