Aug. 19-21: Boardwalk Fair, Beach Tennis, John Daly Swim

What's on tap in Long Beach? We'll let you know what's going on in the city and on Patch, from boardwalk fairs to fundraisers to upcoming stories. Here's what's happening this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

1. The Long Beach Historical & Preservation Society holds its annual Arts & Crafts Fair on Aug. 20 and 21 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the boardwalk between Edwards and Long Beach boulevards.

2. The annual John Daly One-Mile Swim will kick off at National Boulevard beach at 9 a.m. Aug. 21. The swim is a fundraiser for memorial scholarships for graduating seniors of the Long Beach Patrol.

3. The international Beach Tennis Championships continues through Aug. 19 to 21. See some of the best in the sport in action during this tournament at National Boulevard beach.

4. The Steve Adelson Stick-Tet Trio performs at Grillfire on West Park Avenue at 9 p.m. Aug. 19. This modern jazz gig is free.
