Four Out-Of-Towners Charged with Drug Possession

Four non-Long Beach residents were charged with drug possession after police spotted them in a vehicle parked on an East End street last week.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, patrolling officers observed a group of three males and one female in a vehicle acting suspiciously at Riverside Boulevard and East Broadway at 4:37 p.m. on Oct. 17.

As the four subjects exited the vehicle, the officers investigated the interior and noticed a hypodermic needle and clear plastic bag containing what is believed to be Ketamine, a dissociative anesthetic that causes cause dream-like states and hallucinations, according to drugfree.org.

All four subjects — Joshua Ott, 25, of Fuquay Varina, NC; Storm Lacy, 24, of Asheville, NC; Paul Siano, 26, of Freeport; and Carly Gozza, 22, of Holbrook — were arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a hallucinogenic substance, and transported to LBPD headquarters.

Sgt. Eric Cregeen, the department’s public information officer, said that officers later discovered a bag containing Ketamine and Ecstasy in the vehicle.

“This is exactly the type of solid self-initiated police work we have all come to expect from our officers,” Cregeen said.
