Quiksilver Tents Coming Down as Irene Approaches

Chief of Long Beach Lifeguards Paul Gillespie explains surf company's preparations for the hurricane.

Quicksilver, the company that is organizing and staging the surf competition in Long Beach next week, has to take some of its tents and stations down on the beach as Hurricane Irene's winds head north. Paul Gillespie, chief of Long Beach Lifeguards, spoke with Patch on Thursday afternoon about the company's preparations for the storm.
