True professionals. The guys who run this place are wasting their talents. How soon before the $126,000/year in property taxes run them out of town? Listen up, Democrats: Before you mail the Laurel their $17,000 tax increase, ask if you really have to drive another Long Beach staple out of business...

THANK YOU LONG BEACH!!!! We truly love serving you! As hard as this profession is (waking up at 4am and running around virtually non stop until midnight), you make it fun and enjoyable. Not a day goes by that we can't find something to smile about together; and you've truly put a smile on our entire team's face today. Thank you again! Here's to another 80 years of serving you the best pancakes!

Congratulations! It may not be an Oscar, but it's the Oscar of pancakes in Long Beach, and if you're the one making them that means a lot. It's good to be judged by a jury of your peers -- and win. It means you must be doing some right, and in this day and age putting in long hours and hard work to do something right is to be not just admired, but celebrated. Selah.

Congratulations to one of my very favorite places to eat in LB or anywhere--this honor is well-deserved. I always feel at home when I walk through your doors. Thanks for that, and your "home cooking," which makes all your food delicious. You're the best!!!

Back in the 70's surfers used to congregate at this place early in the mornings ...they had a great 99 cent breakfast I believe, if my memory serves me right..
