Photos: Waterfront Warriors Welcome Veterans to Long Beach
Wounded troops will spend a week in the beach town enjoying various activities.
It’s become an annual and anticipated event in the West End. The Waterfront Warriors held a parade on West Beech Street to welcome veterans and their families to Long Beach on Sunday. The veterans will enjoy of week of activities in the beach town and New York City. Sunday’s parade was followed by a barbeque and concert at Long Beach Catholic Regional School on West Broadway. Among its highlights were Benoir and the Long Beach All Stars, who performed tunes by Bob Marley and The Beatles, as well as some patriotic songs.
