Civic Coalition Demands State Forum, Community Input on hospital; Suit Threatened If State is Non-Compliant
The Beach to Bay Coalition of Civic Aassociations has sent a demand letter to the New York State Department of Health requesting the DOH holds a public forum on the future of the Long Beach Medical Center, required by the New York State Public Health Law. The BBC will announce intention to sue for compliance if the forum is not granted.
The Beach to Bay Coalition will be holding a press conference on April 22 at 12;00 noon at Kennedy Plaza at City Hall to announce their plans. Media, public and elected officials are cordially invited to attend.
