For all you serious gardeners — and the not so serious ones — it's time to start thinking about getting out there to turn over the soil, loosen it up and air it out.
There's no doubt that we still have some nasty weather ahead, but the unusually mild winter we've been having so far can certainly get the blood flowing. At the very least, it's time to start planning out your garden for spring planting — deciding where to put the tomatoes, where to put the lettuce, etc.
Also, it's still not too late to start growing your own plants indoors from seed. There's no more satisfaction you can get than picking a big red tomato or a bucket of beans when you know that it all began months ago from tiny seeds.
