Tthe 8th Annual C.U.R.B. Bike Ride will take place on Saturday, August 13 at 9:30 a.m., in Long Beach, starting at New York Avenue and West Penn Street. Riders of all ages are invited to take a relaxed twelve-mile bike ride around the City of Long Beach to honor the memory of James P. Conlon, founder and past president of Citizens United to Remove Barriers (C.U.R.B.). C.U.R.B. is a local non-profit organization that offers the physically-challenged a chance to live a life free of barriers. The organization works to build ramps, supply equipment, and raise community awareness of the ongoing needs of the physically-challenged.

The few animals that Rescue Ink had were in a safe warehouse so there was no real hurry to move them back to the building the shelter is in but they're back.
