Huntington Elementary School Helps Out Long Beach

Kits and cards make their way to those hit hard by Hurricane Sandy.

All 450 students at the Flower Hill Primary School in Huntington designed and personalized their own cards that will be sent to students in the East and West Elementary schools in Long Beach who were affected by Hurricane Sandy.

Each card included a pencil for the Long Beach students to use for a reply. It's not the first time Flower Hill has helped.

PTA co-president Michele Kustera said Flower Hill families recently organized a collection of 250 toiletry kits and delivered them to Long Beach.
