HELP NEEDED: The Long Island Toy Loaning Center For Children With Disabilities (LITC) has been devastated by Tropical Storm Sandy

HELP NEEDED: The Long Island Toy Loaning Center For Children With Disabilities (LITC) has been devastated by Tropical Storm Sandy and needs your help!

The center is a not-for-profit program servicing children with medical, physical and developmental disabilities located on the waterfront in East Marina, Lido Blvd. Point Lookout.
Colleen Moseman is the devoted founder and operator of this unique and dynamic program with one main objective in mind: To facilitate the essential need for children to play by the loan of toys, adaptive toys and other special equipment.
The services also include home visits, socials, weekend respite for families.
Colleen's remarkable work in the past and has established her as a quiet giant in this unusual field. Ms. Moseman and her program are worthy candidates for assistance.
By the grace of a number of volunteers consisting of her family, friends, and some devoted parents, the Toy Loaning Center has been gutted and is in need of supplies to rebuild. All that stands at this point is the frame of the building… LITC was destroyed by the 4' surge that filled the tiny center with sewage contaminated water, forcing Ms. Moseman to close her doors. We are hopeful she will be operative in the near future.

If there is anyone who would like to donate building materials, money, toys or equipment to the Long Island Toy Loaning Center, please contact:
