Long Beach Water, Sewer Systems Out

After suffering what City Manager Jack Schnirman described as 'crippling flooding and damage,' Long Beach's underground infrastructure have been compromised.

A water-consumption ban was issued Monday night and now the sewer systems are non-functional.

Newsday reported:

"There is no water and no sewer; your toilets and sink will not work," he told residents. "At this time, if you have any water coming from your faucet, it is not safe to drink or use for cooking unless boiled."
