getting screwed by flood insurance

okay like most of us good tax, insurance paying people, I to have been getting screwed by my insurance company, the run around is unbelievable and the tactics to back you off, what did I do, hell I am mad as hell and took it no more, I was blown off by not only my insurance company( travelers) and was told I have to go thru the adjuster company(Jackson) I was told for the past 6 weeks the final report(this is needed for the insurance company to pay you) would be done any day, weeks and weeks went by as call after call and same old crap, after calls to the owner to Jackson with a promise  that the adjuster would call me in 24 hours, still no call so what next was a call from FEMA, yesterday they told me the time line was way to long and informed and gave me the number of the insurance commissioner, I emailed a letter to Travels CCing Jackson informing them I am calling the commissioner to report the lack of help.
Well within one hour I got a call from the adjuster and at first he gave me some crap until I told him I do not care how busy he is, how many people are in the same boat and let him know I am reporting him, the company he works for and travelers, low and behold he finally told me the final report will be done next week and another payment will be made to us today.
The way to deal with the insurance is let them know you the insured MUST speak up, let them know your mad as hell and will not take it any more, it works.will let you all know if I do get my checks soon.

Homeowners have told Patch that their mortgage companies are requesting to endorse flood insurance checks. Have you experienced this?

I voted straight GOP most of my voting life. On November 4, 2012, I walked past wreckage and debris and stood in line with people that had suffered enormous loss. It dawned on me that many of the folks in line with me were about to step into the voting booth and pull the lever for the people that had spent the last 20 years trying to gut FEMA and kill the flood insurance program. When my turn in line came, I stepped into the booth and voted straight Democrat, right across the entire slate, judges included. walking back from the polling place I thought about the GOP and their desire to harm me PERSONALLY and I said to myself, "Yeah? Fuck You". Yesterday, Congress finally was disgraced into making a partial payment on what they owe us. 67 Congress persons voted AGAINST paying me my flood insurance claim...........ALL 67 were Republicans. I wont forget that the next time I step into a voting booth. I wont EVER forget that.

I'd like the number of the insurance commissioner because our adjuster has been telling us for four weeks he is going to do our claim "next" and we still have nothing.

Call Pete Kings office. Tell him that REGARDLESS of how he votes, you will hold the ENTIRE GOP NY delegation responsible if their redneck scumbag cohorts try to hold up the January 15th vote for the money to fix the boardwalk and the rest of NY & NJ. Tell him that if those pos hacks from the South want to stay in the majority in 2014 they had better cough up that dough. Dont sit back and take this nonsense from these rats.

Wikyjalo, besides reporting your insurance company open your mouth, DO NOT let them tell you any crap such as your claim is being processed, we are so busy you have to wait, open your mouth tell them you want your money, call every TV station, they love this, its news and news that is very helpful, use your insurance carriers and their subs name, let the world know they suck and do not want to pay your claim, can you image telling them you will send your payment check in a few months because you are busy, see how long they will wait before you are dropped, weeks, let them know you are mad as hell and will not take it anymore.
