Does Long Beach street clean anymore? On my walks I see the same garbage such as plastic bottles, cans, food wrappers, local newspapers still in the plastic bags (with early December dates) leaves etc.

My street got cleaned today. They even took the loose pavement that the "claw" took with my worldly possessions and did a wonderful job. It looks great.

How about bending down and picking it up?

I clean in front of my house every day , nails seem to be every place you look.In the canals there was a crew sweeping up the sidewalks, street and in many cases lawns.I asked and was told they work for the city of LB?As much as I do appreciate this is this being paid for by home owners?our tax money or special insurance the city is getting. With our taxes going up and what seems like everything the city supplies to us I can think of much better ways to spend our money, as for the contractors that are leaving demo material in front of houses why are they not getting violations , I like many others are paying for dumpsters for ours.

We've swept and hosed down on many occasions but they did a really great job since we've been inundated with other, more pressing issues - like having our homes rebuilt and packing up whatever items we were able to salvage. Wildman, do you live in a building?

I see people littering ALL over Long Beach including wads of garbage being thrown from parked car windows. Especially by the animals outside Dunkin Donuts that cant read the NO PARKING FIRE LANE sign.
