FEMA us backing the flood insurance we are paying thousands of dollars a year for. If Congress didn't approve additional funding, there would be no funds for the insurance companies we bought flood through to pay our claims.

We are just as disgusted waiting to be reimbursed by our flood insurance for our claim. Our adjuster keeps saying he'll get to it. It's been almost 3 months.

There will be a law group at the VFW post tonight to discuss problems with insurance like this. It is posted on the Patch. There is no charge to speak to these guys, see what they will do.

wikyjalo, The other times that you have filed insurance claims, how long has the time been from when you filed your initial claim until you received your final payment?

The money you get from your flood ins policy actually comes from FEMA. When you pay your insurance the company you use is just a broker. The money is sent to FEMA. So if they want to help they should try paying all the claims we put in since we've all paid our premiums for many years. So in actuality our premiums are also paying for all the people that never had insurance. And the real kick in the ass is FEMA already gave them money! But we the ones who pay it haven't got a dime yet. And then when we do we have to go through all the BS with the banks for anyone that has a mortgage. What a joke!
