Free Alzheimer's Care Workshop for Local Family Caregivers

The local Home Instead Senior Care® office is offering a free Alzheimer’s and Other Dementias educational workshop for residents who are caring for an aging parent or relative with the disease.   

The workshop will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the Weingart Senior Center, 5200 Oliva Avenue, Lakewood, CA  90712. A light lunch will be provided.  

The workshop will cover how to:

•Identify and manage challenging behaviors
•Encourage engagement by someone with dementia
•Care for yourself while caring for a loved one
