HOA Bullies of Long Beach

Well the demolition has begun.  I called the Building Department and left two messages for Scott Kemins, plus I have sent him two e-mails. No response.   Our Board has set up a site for all of us to follow the progress.  I guess this avoids them having to answer any questions;http://oceanviewestates.weebly.com.
I am not an engineer, but the beams look okay to me.  I took some pictures, and I want to post them here.  If anyone knows an engineer who would come down and take a look, it would be greatly appreciated.
I still want to know how this job is filed with the LB Building Department at $275,080, yet the homeowners have to pay $511,000, plus we were hit with another $105,000 assessment, and yet another $30,000 to replace the vertical beams which was not included in the first bid given to the husband of the President of the Board.  I do not think it is the smell of fish from the ocean that stinks here.
