The beach and boardwalk in Long Beach invite and offer a host of activities, from volleyball to beach yoga, strolling the shoreline to running on 2.2-miles of wooden planks, surfing to sunbathing, and photographing the beach at sunrise to sitting on a bench to watch the sunset.

Taking surfing lessons with surf2live on Pacific, no crowds, great beach.....

Mike, I also love to see kitesurfing but they made one guy get out last week, no swimmers, raining and the guy was killing it, guess its a no no in Long Beach.......bummer

Does anyone still love building sand (drip) castles? We built cathedrals that touched the sky and we also dug down to China! Boardwalk Stories (www.blueeftpress.com)

Somehow, the words 'beach' and 'activity' seem incompatible, but I love reading on the beach until the heavy eyelids tell me it's time to snooze. Now that's a great beach activity!
