Vinton St Needs Repaving

Vinton St. in the Canals was a quiet, low traversed street until the city decided to redo the bridges & change the direction of Vinton St. Now the street is heavily traveled & one of the only access streets into the Canals. Why hasn't this Street been paved? Seems like most of the other streets, especially the dead ends where some of the "pols" live have been done years ago, but not this street. Wake up & Address This hazardous condition. The street looks like it belongs in the Third World.

All of Long Beach needs to be repaved. Take a look at almost any street in the West End, Canals or President Streets. If the city had any sense they would try and get FEMA to pick up some if not most of the tab as many of the streets have been utterly destroyed by the heavy trucks doing debris cleanup after Sandy and all the heavy trucks that are being used during the rebuilding. A lot of the sand under the roads was washed out during the storm as water went through the cracks in the roads scouring away the road base. But the city has decided to ignore a major portion of its crumbling infrastructure as has most of America. Unfortunately for most of us getting your street repaved seems to be a great part of the political payback system here in LB. My money says Florida St. will be high on the list for both repaving and getting the first of the New Boardwalk access points on CT or GA in the West End.

Folks...Detroit is a harbinger of things to come and it won't end well for tax and spend municipalities (helloooooo Long Beach!) and the unions that encourage them (hellooooo LBPD).
