Police say suspect got away with $1K.
A laundromat in the center of Long Beach was burglarized, possibly early Saturday morning.
The Long Beach Police Department told Patch that a suspect forced entry through the rear door at J&A Laundromat, at 223 E. Park Ave., and stole about $1,000 in cash. The police did not immediately have information on whey they suspect the burglary may have occurred at the East End establishment.
“This burglary was discovered when the store was opened on Saturday morning,” said Sgt. Eric Cregeen, the department’s public information officer.
The LBPD responded to the scene and an investigation is ongoing.
