Two men face charges for a Lido Beach burglary spree, reported Nassau County Police.
Jeremy Laratro, 18, of Lido Beach, and Dayvon Merchant, 22, of Long Beach, were charged with breaking into and stealing from three nearby homes, cops reported.
According to detectives, a 44-year-old Bunker Road woman reported a burglary in the early afternoon of April 9. Thieves had stolen jewelry, an X-Box 360, and a laptop from her home between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. that day, she told police.
Laratro was charged with the burglary on April 21 and later, was found responsible of two other burglaries on Leamington Street April 8 and Greenway Road April 14. Larastro was taken into custody again on April 26 and charged with the second set of burglaries.
Police later found that Laratro had worked with an accomplice, Merchant, who was also arrested and charged by Long Beach Police.
Laratro was charged with second-degree burglary, second-degree attempted burglary, and third-degree grand larceny. Merchant was charged with two counts of second-degree burglary and second-degree attempted burglary.
