Two armed men forced an Island Park woman into her home and tied her up before they were chased out by her husband, reported Nassau County Police.
The 42-year-old woman was entering her Kingston Boulevard home when two men emerged from behind a parked car and approached her, cops said. The two reportedly forced her inside her home, found a phone cord, and tied her up.
While one of the men, who had a black handgun, guarded the victim, the second man went upstairs to search for valuables, cops said. The victim's husband was in bed at the time and he chased both subjects out of the house, police reported.
The incident happened at 8:50 a.m. Wednesday.
The victims reportedly escaped unharmed but the subjects may have stolen car and house keys in the robbery.
The first subject was described as a white man, 6 feet 2 inches tall, medium build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, tan army pants, and white sneakers.
The second subject was described as a white man, 5 feet 8 inches tall, heavy build, wearing dark clothing, a black hooded sweatshirt, and white sneakers.
The two got into a black, two-door BMW with tinted windows and fled south on Broadway from the scene.
