A Queens woman faces multiple charges after Nassau County Police said she stole $90,000 from her Atlantic Beach employer.
Joanne Estrada, 44, of Douglaston, was charged Monday with second-degree grand larceny, three counts of second-degree possession of a forged instrument, and one count of first-degree falsifying business records.
Detectives said Estrada, while working for Redgrave Electrical Maintenance in Atlantic Beach, deposited 23 checks from the company's ledger into an account in her name. Between July and January, Estrada stole $90,000 from the company by making false entries in the business ledger to conceal the thefts, police reported.
Estrada was charged Monday at her home. She will be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
